CleanStorage Privacy Policy

CleanStorage is made by Sawir Studio LLC. This policy explains what the app does with your information.

What the app accesses

  • Photos, with your permission, to find duplicate and similar photos, screenshots, screen recordings, large videos and Live Photos.
  • Contacts, with your permission, to find and merge duplicate contacts.
  • Files in folders you choose, to list large files.
  • Your device's storage figures, to show free and used space.

What happens to it

All scanning happens on your device. CleanStorage does not send your photos, contacts, files or any information about them to Sawir Studio or anyone else. The app has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

The app keeps some information on your device so it works well: your swipe review progress, cached image fingerprints that speed up later scans, your chosen folder and settings, and the summary shown in widgets.

Notifications, such as a low storage warning or a monthly Swipe Review reminder, are created on your device. They arrive quietly until you choose to keep them, and each kind can be turned off in the app's Settings.

If you use the Apple Watch app, your iPhone sends small photo previews, storage figures and scan summaries directly to your paired Apple Watch, and your watch sends your keep or delete choices back. This stays between your own devices.

If you use iCloud Photos or iCloud Drive, deleting items through CleanStorage deletes them from iCloud as Apple's services do. Apple's privacy policy covers iCloud.

Purchases

CleanStorage Pro is bought through Apple. Apple handles payment, and CleanStorage never sees your payment details. The app only asks the App Store whether your Apple Account owns Pro.

Deleting your information

Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your device.

Children

The app doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new date.
