Photos
Can I get back photos I deleted?
Yes, for 30 days. CleanStorage deletes through Apple's Photos library, so deleted photos go to Recently Deleted in the Photos app. Open Photos, then Albums, then Recently Deleted to recover them.
Why does deleting a photo also remove it from my other devices?
With iCloud Photos on, your library is the same on every device signed in to your Apple Account, so a deletion anywhere applies everywhere. CleanStorage shows a reminder about this on the dashboard when it detects iCloud Photos.
Why does a category free less space on my iPhone than in iCloud?
With "Optimize iPhone Storage" on, many originals live only in iCloud, and your iPhone keeps smaller copies. Deleting those photos frees their full size in iCloud but only a little on your iPhone. CleanStorage shows both amounts.
Why weren't some photos checked for duplicates?
Photos stored only in iCloud are skipped unless you turn on "Check iCloud-only Photos" on the dashboard, which downloads small previews on Wi-Fi. It's part of Pro.
How does Swipe Review work?
Pick a month, then swipe right to keep a photo or left to mark it for deletion. Undo steps back one card. Your progress is saved, and nothing is deleted until you tap Delete and confirm.
Contacts and files
What happens when I merge contacts?
Phone numbers and emails from the group are combined into the contact you keep, and the others are deleted. Contacts has no Recently Deleted, so CleanStorage asks before merging. You can leave any contact out of a merge.
Where do deleted files go?
Files go to the folder's Recently Deleted in the Files app when the location has one, such as On My iPhone and iCloud Drive. Locations without a trash delete the file right away, and CleanStorage tells you before you confirm.

Is Pro a subscription?
No. Pro is a one-time purchase that you keep, and Family Sharing shares it with your family.
How do I restore Pro on a new iPhone?
Tap any Pro feature or the CleanStorage Pro row on the dashboard, then tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles refunds. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose CleanStorage Pro.
Notifications, widgets and Apple Watch
How do I turn notifications on or off?
Tap the gear on the dashboard to choose which reminders you get. Notifications start quietly in Notification Center, and you can choose there to keep them or turn them off.
My widget shows old numbers. How do I refresh it?
Free space updates on its own. The amount to review updates after each scan, so open CleanStorage to scan again. With Pro, CleanStorage also rescans while your iPhone charges.
Why are there no photos on my Apple Watch?
Swipe Review on Apple Watch is part of Pro. Open CleanStorage on your iPhone once so it can send photos to your watch, and keep both devices nearby. Photos you mark on your watch are deleted on your iPhone, which asks first.
